TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND FIND A PAINTING YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH

I'm an artist from Liverpool who has rediscovered my love for painting.

After being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in November 2019,  I was halfway through my chemotherapy when the Covid-19 pandemic started. This is when I realised that my children had never seen any of my work, so I decided to create something they could enjoy and be proud of. 

I love using glow in the dark paint as it has a dual aspect to it. I don't see the end result until I turn out the lights, so it's either a pleasant surprise or a total disaster! Whatever the outcome I always enjoy the creative journey that takes me there. 

I mainly use acrylic paints along with the glow in the dark paint, however I experiment with watercolour sometimes. I enjoy playing around with different styles and the challenge of stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring the unknown.

I am also involved in an art abandonment project group consisting of international artists from far and wide. Our aim is to share our creativity by leaving small pieces of art in random locations for people to discover and keep. I post clues on Twitter to help guide people in the right direction in the style of a treasure hunt. The person who finds the piece then has the opportunity to contact the artist and share their experience, expanding the community even further!
